“The Top Ten Reasons Donald Trump should not be President” was written before the Access Hollywood tape became public. Most normal politicians would have been undone when caught on tape saying that when you’re famous you can get away with grabbing women between the legs. When former comedian and US Senator Al Franken from Minnesota pretended to grab a napping colleague’s breasts an apology was insufficient, and Senator Franken resigned. Donald Trump believes that he could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot someone, and he would not lose any support. Indeed, he went on to win enough votes to win the Electoral College and the Presidency.
Trump totally denies the accusations of the 26 different women who have accused him of sexual misconduct beginning in the seventies. In other developments since 2016; Michael Cohen, Trump’s long-time lawyer, spent time in jail for using Presidential Campaign Funds to pay a porn star to keep quiet about an affair with Trump prior to the 2016 election. Also E. Jean Carroll has filed a rape accusation against Trump and learning from the Bill Clinton and Monica Lewinsky saga, Ms. Carroll has kept the dress and only needs Donald Trump’s DNA to prove her accusation.
Most importantly though, were the three Supreme Court Justices that Donald Trump appointed. This has allowed for a six to three decision to overturn fifty years of precedent of a woman’s right to decide her own ability to carry a pregnancy to term. According to the current Supreme Court that is not a woman’s decision to make but a decision for the state government to make. In the extreme fifteen states currently have new or impending bans on abortion with no exceptions for rape or incest.
Legally removing a woman’s right to decide what to do with her own body would seem to be the highest level of misogyny. With the progress America has made in Civil Rights in the last 100 years it should be unbelievable that the government could condone vigilantism. It is beyond unbelievable when states not only condone but write into law vigilantism while criminalizing a woman’s right to choose. When people say their next goal is to eliminate a woman’s right to choose an abortion nationally; believe them.

There should be no doubt with dozens of documented misogynist comments over more than the last twenty years. In 2013 Donald Trump tweeted, “26,000 unreported sexual assaults in the military – only 238 convictions. What did these geniuses expect when they put men & women together?” When asked to comment about that tweet at the September 7, 2016 “commander-in-chief forum” Donald Trump replied, “Well, it is – it is- it is a correct tweet. There are many people who think that that’s absolutely correct.” Donald Trump’s opinion is that men and women are put together, it is basic common sense that the guys are going to sexually assault the gals.
