7) Donald Trump as President would seriously weaken if not destroy several of the Founding Fathers’ key principals, such as freedom of religion and freedom of the press.
Not for Trump’s lack of trying but the institutions have held up better than may have been expected. The lies and the consistent attacks on the media and “Fake News” have had a corrosive and divisive affect as well as attacks on other institutions and the “Rule of Law”. Sincere apologies for not expecting the attacks on voting and the hard-working individuals who make elections possible and those heroes who stood up for what is right and did not submit to the lies, threats and intimidation. Donald Trump’s assault on the peaceful transfer of power and attempts to overthrow the results of the election that he lost has been the gravest threat to our democracy and our Constitutional Rule of Law. Possibly score this one as picking the level of danger but not seeing the most dangerous threat.

That a presidential candidate would suggest a question of one’s religion should be a factor on an application for immigration to this country shows a complete disregard to the founding principles of our nation and to the United States Constitution. Religious freedom is a fundamental right in America.
Donald Trump has already said that as president he plans to sharply rein in the media and make it easier to sue for libel and slander. For more than two hundred years the United States have relied upon a free press to maintain an ever-evolving democracy, an informed citizenry and the freedom of association and dissenting opinion.
